Hulu is a video-on-demand subscription service owned by Hulu LLC, Disney-ABC, Fox Entertainment, NBCUniversal, and the Turner Broadcasting System. It is mainly oriented to series and entertainment programs such as reality shows, talk shows, or competitions, but it also includes films and documentaries.

For a monthly price of $ 11.99, the user has access to the entire catalog without advertisements. Paying $ 7.99, the ad breaks marked in the episodes with ad units of two minutes maximum each time are included. Offers packages to add premium cable channels and live TV.
What content does it offer?
Hulu offers on its platform content from more than 200 networks and studios, from networks to basic cable networks such as FX (it has exclusive streaming rights in Atlanta, for example), A&E, AMC, Bravo or Food Network; internationals such as BBC, Televisión Azteca or Caracol; specialized in anime like Crunchyroll or Aniplex, or the talks at the Paley Center.
Focusing on television, in its catalog, we can find complete seasons and also episodes of the series and programs of FOX, ABC, and NBC only a few hours after their original broadcast. Thanks to these types of agreements, its subscribers were also able to see Top of The Lake: China Girl a few hours after its broadcast on Sundance Channel.
Its catalog of classic series is very wide; we find titles like I Love Lucy, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, or The Twilight Zone, passing through others like The Golden Girls, Saved by the Bell, or Frasier; all episodes of Saturday Night Live or 20 seasons of Survivor.
Although the CW series disappeared in its entirety from its catalog, and the new episodes of CBS cannot be followed either, it does have complete seasons of this chain such as Melrose Place, Sensacion de Vivre, Medium, CSI, The Good Wife, Sabrina, Cheers or Taxi.
It recently signed an agreement with Fox with which complete series such as M * A * S * H, St. Elsewhere, Hill Street Sad Song, NYPDs, The Lawyer, Bones, How I Met Your Mother were included in its catalog or Raising Hope. And another with Turner, which allowed him to acquire classic sitcoms such as Forced Fathers, Household Things, or Distant Cousins. It also has an agreement with the BBC that allows it to offer a wide selection of British series from all eras.
And just before the return of Will and Grace, Hulu has made available to its users all eight seasons of the NBC comedy, this being the first time that the series can be seen in streaming in the United States.
How Hulu differs from Netflix
Don't wait for the seasons to end
For the series to which Hulu has the rights, you do not have to wait for the end of the season, they can be followed at the rate of the broadcast. Although Netflix has distribution agreements whereby it premieres episodes of some series in other territories at the rate of the broadcast of the original country, the daily publication of new episodes of series and programs by Hulu is one of the main differences between both platforms.
In this sense, Hulu would be very similar to what TiVO was in its beginnings, allowing you to see the broadcast episodes in the following days, but without the need to configure the recording.
