The $ 7.99 / month basic plan is pretty tempting, though it comes with caveats, plus you can access Hulu from any modern device you can think of.
WE DIDN'T LIKE IT
Paying for a streaming service and seeing the commercials is still not fair, even at a reasonable monthly cost for Hulu.
As mentioned, the content selection can be inconsistent.
The continued lack of support for offline viewing is also disappointing, as is the limit of just one stream on the basic subscription plan.
VERDICT
Hulu doesn't feel as basic and all-encompassing as Netflix, and it's no longer the only or the most obvious way to stream TV shows.
The commercials are still annoying and the above limitations might get irritating, but Hulu is quite ideal as a cord-cutter secondary service to complement Netflix or Amazon Prime Video with loads and loads of current and classic TV shows.
